Originally from AllergoBox a need experienced by its creators

Two young fathers in the Paris region, faced with the problem of food allergies through their children, launched AllergoBox.com in December 2014 to make life easier for allergic and food intolerant people . It is this observation that the idea of AllergoBox and we started  , "says Julian Dean, one of the two founders of the initiative AllergoBox.



How it works ?

On AllergoBox, it is enough to create a free profile in which information about allergies or food intolerances , and the search engine then allows find, in line with its profile of food products for normal consumption, the recipes , and soon flat major restaurant chains . "  We wanted to make AllergoBox most adapted to the reality of food allergies. We can describe its very finely profile by filling several allergies, possible cross allergies and sensitivity to traces for each allergen entered in the profile. It can also create multiple profiles for families with several children allergic to different foods, for example  , "says Julian Dean.





A free, early success and a future app!

AllergoBox is completely free to use and ad-free. The only revenues come from start-up brands in the food industry that can reference their products and the associated ingredients lists. They thus benefit from targeted exposure for their products according to different user profiles and the ability to trust their relationship with allergic consumers by alerting in case of changes allergens its products. "  Services that resonate with manufacturers since Fleury Michon and Picot (Lactalis Group) have already chosen to join AllergoBox and many discussions have begun with the French retail brands and national brands  " Julien says Dean. After the success of the concept (over 180 000 unique visitors and 15,000 profiles created on the site in six months), AllergoBox plans to launch its mobile application in the summer of 2015. Completely free, the app will the compatibility of the product with its food profile by scanning the bar code while one is shopping  !








An initiative that bring together actors

AllergoBox has partnerships with associations of pediatricians and allergists and thus offers informative content, fully and exclusively written by doctors. Associations side of allergic and intolerant, AllergoBox is supported by the main actors: the French Association of Gluten Intolerant to (AFDIAG), the Asthma and Allergy Association, and the French Association for the Prevention of Allergies (AFPRAL).
